Who We Are at Music Angels Hands

My name is Ellen Hwang and I am the first editor of Angel's Times, the club’s newsletter program that provides information and details on upcoming events, announcements, birthdays, and more. A new issue will be published every month, and it will be posted on the Music Angels Hands website. I am currently a freshman attending Sunny Hills High School and I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old. I am a Certificate of Merit Level 3, 5, and 8 State and/or Branch Honors recipient, a 3rd place winner in the SATORI Summer Music Festival (2023), an MTAC Theme Festival 2023 Gold Medalist (2023), a SATORI Summer Music Festival (Open Category) 2nd place winner (2022), and a MTAC Theme Festival 2019 Silver Medalist (2019). Through music, I have learned to be more appreciative of music and the musicians who put in all of their effort to provide their audience with beautiful and breathtaking music. In the future, I hope to give readers an informative and enjoyable reading experience in learning about our club and future events. In addition, I hope to encourage other people to participate in community service and support our club.

My name is Ashley Ahn, and I’m currently a sophomore attending Sunny Hills High School. I was the vice president of the Accounting Team last year and am currently the vice president of the Video Team at Music Angels Hands. This year, I have had the honor to be the director of the Youth Club of Music Angels Hands. I’ve always been intrigued by the amount of self-awareness children have. I’m captivated by how much they know at a young age, like how to count to 10 in Spanish or even recognizing someone’s face in a picture. Knowing this, I want to help children expand their horizons and question the world around them. Our Youth Club is directed to teaching kinder to 2nd graders with the instruction from 5th to 7th graders.

I have been a member of this club since the 7th grade and was the vice president of the event team, and I am now the leader of the accounting team. I have always been an individual with a fervent love for all things musical and I found that this club would be a great place for me to continue my musical journey. Through this club, I discovered the power of music and further wanted to spend time and create bonds with the other members. By creating the “MusiQ” program, I found a way to learn more about the members through monthly free response questions and videos related to music. I feel deeply privileged to initiate this new program, and I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing organization.
